About the retreat

In a world that often prizes independence and performance over presence and depth, we are invited to rediscover what it means to be truly connected—to others, to ourselves, and to God.

Beloved is a weekend retreat for young women (college-aged and young professionals), designed to deepen your understanding of relationships—from friendship and family to romantic love and your relationship with Christ. Through prayer, engaging talks, the sacraments, and genuine fellowship, this retreat is a space to grow both humanly and spiritually.

Whether you're just beginning your faith journey or already walking closely with the Lord, this retreat offers a chance to pause, reflect, and be renewed.

Retreat Theme: Love & Relationships

This year’s theme centres on the essential human need for relationships. We’ll reflect on:

  • The gift of friendship and the call to love as Christ loved
  • Human love and divine love—what they are and how they help us flourish
  • Jesus and His friends: learning from His example in the Gospels
  • Navigating the dangers of individualism, FOMO, and superficial connections
  • Preparing for marriage as a path of love and self-gift
  • The importance of healing, forgiveness, and freedom from past wounds
  • Wisdom from thinkers like C.S. Lewis, St John Paul II, and Jacques Philippe on love, freedom, and vocation

You’ll be encouraged to see all relationships as opportunities for personal growth and for encountering God’s love more deeply.

What to expect

Throughout the weekend, you’ll experience:

  • Daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and Benediction
  • Opportunities for Confession and spiritual direction
  • Guided meditations and time for silent prayer
  • Thought-provoking talks tailored to this year’s theme
  • Small group discussions and time to connect with other women of faith
  • Two retreat streams:
    • Beginners’ Retreat: for those newer to the faith or looking to reconnect
    • Veterans’ Retreat: for those seeking to go deeper in prayer, discernment, and mission

All set within the tranquil and beautiful grounds of Lismullin, offering both rest and renewal.
