Outline

The overnight starts at 3pm on Saturday and finishes on Sunday at 2pm after a cup of coffee/tea.

There will be a half hour session of guided prayer (or meditation) by the priest as well as Mass on the Sunday morning. You will also have the opportunity to go to confession and avail of spiritual direction.

Experienced physiotherapist Jane has worked in clinics across Dublin, Limerick, and Clare. She has also served as a Clinical Tutor for UCD students at the Mater Hospital and worked as a lecturer at the University of Limerick.

Currently, she manages Ros Geal University Residence and is one of the organisers of the Overnight Getaway.

Hailing originally from Northern Ireland, Gretta's adventures in life have taken her around the world. She is now settled on the edge of Connemara on the West coast of Ireland.

Gretta is an economist at the Economic and Social Research Institute and adjunct assistant professor at Trinity College Dublin.

What to really expect from the Overnight?

Upon arrival on Saturday at 4 pm you will be welcome with a cup of coffee or tea, and have time to bring your luggage to your room.

The first session starts at 4:30 pm.

At 6:15 you can enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the wonderful team of Lismullin. During dinner, you will have the opportunity to get to know the other participants.

Following that, at 7:15 pm, we’ll gather for our second session of the evening. Then at 8:30 pm, you can unwind with a more relaxed activity, whether that’s a beginner-friendly cooking session with the Lismullin Cookery School, a more casual extra session, or simply enjoying cheese and wine in the living room.

On Sunday, breakfast is served at 9:45 am followed by downtime.

The session on Sunday starts at 12 pm, followed by lunch at 1:15pm.

Payment

The price of the retreat is €102 which includes meals and accommodation.

  • You will have your own room with en-suite bathroom. Sheets and towels provided
  • All meals are provided, and you can make a cup of tea/coffee any time you wish
  • A full library of spiritual books available to you
  • You can go for walks in the beautiful grounds
