Weekend Seminar for Men | Friday - Sunday, 27 – 29 September
This weekend seminar is a time spent away from your ordinary occupations, set aside for a more intense Christian formation than is possible the rest of the year. It complements the annual retreat in helping you consolidate your spiritual life and apostolic efforts. It is invaluable in the context of on-going formation for those determined to grow in living all the richness of the Christian faith in their lives in the middle of the world.
The seminar starts at 8pm on Friday and ends at 5pm on Sunday.
The sacraments are “efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us”. In other words, a sacrament is a sacred and visible sign that is instituted by Jesus to give us grace, an undeserved gift from God. (Catechism of the Catholic church, 1131 & 1084)
The timetable includes talks on topics relevant to the faith, guided meditations by Fr. Pat Gorevan, a priest of Opus Dei who is a Lecturer of Philosophy in St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth and Chaplain to Rosemont Secondary School, Dublin 18. There will be opportunities as well to engage with others all in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
The price of the seminar is €216 which includes meals and accommodation. As part of EU bank security, you will be asked for verification when making any payment online. For this you will need your mobile phone to verify payment when you have inputted your credit card details.
